Our Tax Preparation Course(s) begins in June and end in November. We offer flexible morning and evening courses.

We are pleased to offer tuition free courses; you only pay for course materials which varies depending on the course level.

Availability depends on classroom capacity (*15 enrollees per classroom)

What you can expect from your tax preparation course

When you enroll in our free Tax Preparation Course, you receive expert instruction in your registered course level, including courses on filing requirements, tax credits, standard and itemized deductions, tax tables and more. Our goal is to provide comprehensive tax preparation classes designed to teach you the fundamentals of tax preparation in an exciting and pleasant classroom environment.

Our flexible 8-16-week tax courses are available mornings and evenings to accommodate your schedule.

There are no course fees, course(s) are absolutely FREE! Students only pay for the cost of course materials which range from $399-$999 dependent on the course level.

Course Level

Course Level Defined

Advanced

An advanced student has an overall understanding of tax laws, tax topics and tax operations, but doesn’t have the comprehensive skills or on experience to work as a certified tax preparer. The individual may have taken a tax course but was not well equip to move forward, they may have worked in the field years ago but tax laws change and now want to reboot their career, may have worked in the accounting field, have filed their own taxes for years etc. In any scenario they need a course that will give them the confidence and hands on experience they need to fast track their career or give them that boost of confidence to work as a tax professional.

Intermediary

An intermediate student has some exposure and basic understanding of tax topics and/or tax operations, and no experience working in the field.
Beginner The beginner level is intended for students with little or no prior exposure to tax topics and/or tax operations and no experience working in the field.
› Requirements
  1. We offer a progressive learning strategy; all course levels are comprehensive and do not require any previous knowledge.
  2. We highly recommend that all interested individuals have at minimum a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
› Description

You’ve asked and now we’ve delivered. Our course’s will prepare you to be confident in preparing taxes. Our course(s) are designed to remove the ambiguity of Tax Law and apply knowledge and understanding of Individual tax preparation by way of comprehensive learning scenarios and examples.

The Tax Law is a very complex topic, and it can’t be crammed into one session with an expectation to master and easily memorized the subject matter. However, the subject matter will require constant research and reference to appropriate IRS rules and guidelines, and we will teach you how to research what to reference and when and why it’s necessary.

You will have a host of explanations, scenarios, and rules to help understand and how to apply the Tax Law to certain tax situations.

In a nutshell you will learn the standard practices used for individual tax preparation and attain the skills necessary to accurately complete IRS Tax Forms and schedules while maintaining compliance with the IRS tax codes and requirements.

We encourage all individuals who successfully complete the course to either work toward earning the yearly AFSP or EA credentials.
